Shakespeare Festival
2012 marks the 21st Anniversary season of the Shakespeare Festival. This popular event draws almost 20,000 audience members each year to historic Wilcox Park in downtown Westerly to experience the thrill of live, outdoor theatre.
During the summer of 2012 the festival will produce Macbeth.
The Festival has been honored for the excellence of its productions and designated the “Offical Shakespeare Festival of Rhode Island” by the Rhode Island House of Representatives. The Shakespeare Festival has also been named “Best of Summer Evening Pleasure” by Rhode Island Monthly’s annual “Best of Rhode Island” issue.
